What is Salamol Easi-Breathe?
The Salamol Easi-Breathe inhaler, produced in the UK, is free from CFCs. It contains the active ingredient salbutamol sulfate and is recognisable by its blue colour. This inhaler provides relief during an asthma attack and can also be used as a preventative measure before coming into contact with known triggers like pet hair or exercise. Additionally, it helps alleviate symptoms of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
How does Salamol work?
The Salamol Easi-Breathe inhaler contains salbutamol sulfate as its active ingredient. This medicine is part of a group known as beta-antagonists. It helps to open up the airways in your lungs, making it easier for you to breathe in and out.
What is Salamol Easi-Breathe CFC inhaler used for?
It's used to relieve an asthma attack, prevent one triggered by allergens like pet hair, pollen, and cigarette smoke, and to ease symptoms linked with COPD.
Is Salamol 100mcg the only dose?
The Salamol CFC-free Easi-Breathe inhaler comes in just one dosage size of 100 micrograms. This is because the amount needed during an asthma attack varies for each person. You can increase the dose by taking multiple puffs at different times during an attack. There's a similar reliever called Salamol Steri-Neb, available in 2.5mg and 5mg doses, but we don't offer this medication through our service at the moment.
