How does it work?

Lactulose works by drawing water into the bowel, softening the stool and making it easier to pass. It can take up to 48 hours to have an effect.

Ingredients

Lactulose 3.1–3.7g per 5ml

Side Effects

Common side effects include bloating, flatulence, and mild stomach cramps. High doses may cause diarrhoea. Not suitable for people with galactosaemia or those who require a low-lactose diet.
